L&Z had such a fun wedding day featuring the fluffiest blush, peach, coral, orange, and mauve flowers accented with pops of white and rich greenery. L came to me with the inspiration of a summer sunset color palette, and I was so excited to bring her vision to life in this September wedding at Tredegar Ironworks with IYQ Photography and The Hive Wedding Collective.

This modern Richmond, VA, wedding featured various plants and a greenery arch to complete the ceremony look, while a mix of floral compotes and candles with hints of tropical greenery adorned the guest tables in the reception tent. The venue was the perfect mix of traditional and modern elements for these two: it gives a nod to historic Richmond, with a slightly industrial feel and gorgeous view of the river.

To keep the look bright and fun, we used a wide variety of local dahlias in the full range of the color palette, in addition to roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, strawflower, ferns, and jasmine vine. The result was a totally fun, slightly tropical design to officially close out summer.

For rentals, we used gold glass compotes for the floral centerpieces, and a mix of gold glass and clear glass for the votives and accent arrangements. To highlight the industrial feel of the venue, we used concrete planters for the ceremony plants, which were then repurposed as bar accents at the reception.
